L-Acoustics KARA Training

Sound Harmonics hosted world famous System and FOH technician Sherif El Barbari in early 2013 to conduct L-Acoustics KARA training in Johannesburg. El Barbari is well known as system designer and engineer for the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, which he setup Gearhouse’s newly purchased K1 system at FNB stadium while he was in the Country.

The three day course covers L-Acoustics WST Line Source Array theory, sound design principles, Sub Array techniques, L-Acoustics Network Manager Software, SoundVision Software, and practical KARA system rigging, including practical listening and measuring test of different configurations. As places are always limited to a maximum of 12 attendees, the seats were hotly contested and the twelve local engineers all thoroughly enjoyed the experience, picking up some useful tips from an industry great!
